In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and technologies in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle and equipment maintenance. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, automotive electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other mechanical systems on heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding and soldering to modify or repair equipment components as needed. Service a variety of machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy trucks. Utilize hand tools and power tools for assembly, disassembly, repairs, and maintenance tasks while adhering to safety protocols. Perform wheel alignments, tire services, and suspension repairs to ensure vehicle safety and efficiency. Maintain detailed service records and follow schematics for complex repairs involving hydraulics and electrical systems. Requirements Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with HVAC systems is a plus. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, and diagnostic software. Knowledge of diesel engine repair including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, shocks & struts is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy machinery when required.
