Job Description - Shop Mechanic The shop mechanic position at Duke City Redi‐Mix is an essential part of the team helping to keep the vehicle fleet on the road and delivering material as required.

Responsibilities:

‐ Repair vehicles as directed by supervisor in a timely and effective manner. This includes disassembly, repair and assembly of any part of the vehicle involved. -Perform routine maintenance on vehicles as directed by supervisor. ‐ Perform emergency repairs in the field, in a safe and effective manner, to allow the vehicle to safely perform delivery or safely return to the repair shop for thorough repair.

Physical Requirements:

‐ The mechanic will need be physically fit to perform the duties required. ‐ Must be able to occasionally lift up to 75 pounds, perform repairs in compact spaces (including beneath a vehicle while it is properly supported), and operate power tools in an effective manner. ‐ Must be able to operate vehicles in a safe and effective manner in a low-speed capacity (not on roadways). ‐ Must be able to read and understand service manuals, work orders, and other written directives.
