As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:- Conducting routine preventative maintenance on a diverse range of Class 8 trucks, chip trailers, and Western Supervans.
- Tackling scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
- Efficiently and promptly executing repairs on truck and trailer systems.
- Maintaining detailed records of routine maintenance, identified defects, and completed repairs in accordance with our record-keeping procedures.
- Responding to road-call emergencies for on-the-spot repairs when necessary.
Required Tasks:
Your essential tasks will include:- Performing repairs and preventative maintenance services, including inspections, diagnosis, and repair of engines, drive trains, electrical systems, suspensions, brakes, and air systems on various vehicles and equipment types.
- Handling maintenance and repairs on all trailer systems, including structural fabrication.
- Utilizing advanced vehicle computer electronic systems to interpret failure modes.
- Reviewing, completing, or assigning repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Conducting thorough safety checks on vehicles and trailers.
- Providing roadside service assistance for emergency breakdowns.
- Ensuring a clean and safe work environment in strict adherence to company and OSHA standards.
- Collaborating effectively with fellow mechanics and drivers.
- Demonstrating punctuality and reliability in work attendance and job performance.
