This vital role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems of heavy trucks and/or yard trucks (Langhorne location) Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and air brake inspections to keep vehicles operating at peak performance. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues accurately. Fabricate or modify parts using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment as needed for custom repairs or upgrades. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues on yard truck, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and automotive systems with precision diagnostics tools. (Langhorne location) Ensure compliance with safety standards by inspecting vehicle systems for potential hazards and performing necessary repairs promptly. Document all repair activities thoroughly in maintenance logs and communicate effectively with team members to coordinate repairs. Assist in equipment assembly, installation, or upgrades to support operational needs across various job sites. Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment repair experience with a strong mechanical background. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, electrical system repair, hydraulics, suspension systems, and powertrain components. Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic software for troubleshooting. Skilled in welding, fabrication techniques, and equipment maintenance using various hand tools and power tools.
