Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and reliably across various transportation and construction applications. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and diagnostic tools Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns Troubleshoot complex issues on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and construction machinery Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to support equipment repairs or modifications Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and diagnostic reports for all vehicles and machinery serviced Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform heavy equipment operation when required for repairs or inspections Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication about repair status and maintenance needs Skills Proven experience working with dealership or OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and systems Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and automotive repair techniques Skilled in using schematics, power tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and hand tools for precise repairs Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic software and technical manuals Experience with construction equipment servicing such as excavators, cranes, loaders, and farm machinery is highly desirable Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including forklifts and other industrial machinery Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused approach to service delivery Join us as a Diesel Mechanic to keep our fleet running smoothly!
