Overview This is a family owned business and we are looking for a mechanic with experience to join the team.
MUST HAVE DPF OR AFTER TREATMENT SYSTEM EXPERIENCE.
In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure the optimal performance of diesel engines, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment used across various industries. Your skills will directly contribute to keeping operations running smoothly, safely, and efficiently. We are looking for motivated professionals who thrive in hands-on environments and are eager to tackle complex repair challenges with precision and enthusiasm. Pay depends on experience level. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension components, and air brake systems on semi trucks, with an emphasis on car haulers. Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment adjustments, and vehicle inspections to maximize equipment lifespan and safety Fabricate parts and components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic codes to accurately troubleshoot issues on Caterpillar, heavy industrial equipment, or tractor-trailers Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with completed work Requirements Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive repair, heavy equipment operation, and industrial machinery maintenance Proficiency in using schematics for diagnostics; familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools is essential Skilled in welding, soldering, tire service, hydraulic repairs, and working with hand tools and power tools a plus Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly Knowledge of safety protocols related to air brake systems, hydraulics, and suspension components Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; strong communication skills for customer interactions Valid certification or licensing related to diesel engine repair or heavy equipment maintenance is a plus Embrace this opportunity to develop your career in a family owned business that values technical expertise and proactive problem-solving.
