Heavy Diesel Technician LSP Transport, LLC - 4.2 Bryan, TX Job Details 8 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work experience Full Job Description The Heavy Diesel Technician I performs entry-level maintenance and repair work on LSPT tractors and trailers under close supervision. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, basic repairs, safety inspections, and building foundational technical skills while adhering to LSPT safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Responsibilities :
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractors and trailers in accordance with LSPT procedures Conduct basic inspections of engines, brakes, suspension, and air systems Perform minor mechanical repairs under guidance, including accessory and component replacement Visually inspect trailer bulk transfer systems and report leaks or deficiencies Accurately document work performed, parts used, and inspections completed in maintenance systems Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment Follow all safety policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance procedures Participate in on-the-job training and required technical certifications Participate in scheduled on-call rotation under supervision
Skills & Competencies:
Basic mechanical aptitude with diesel systems Foundational electrical and HVAC knowledge Ability to safely use shop tools and basic diagnostic equipment Basic use of LSPT maintenance, communication, and inspection systems Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and follow established procedures Clear communication with supervisors and peers
Education & Experience :
High school diploma or equivalent 0-3 years of hands-on mechanical experience (commercial or industrial preferred) Physical & Work Requirements Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds with or without assistance Ability to perform physically demanding work including bending, kneeling, climbing, and working overhead Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a shop environment subject to noise, fumes, and weather conditions Participation in on-call rotation About LSP Transport and
