We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to join our diesel fuel maintenance and filtration team. Our technicians operate specialized mobile fuel-polishing equipment used to clean and restore diesel fuel. Technicians will also be required to learn how to drive non-CDL Fuel Trucks and/or trailers to deliver fuel to customer sites. This is a hands-on field position that involves working outside. You will drive the company truck to customer locations and either set up a fuel polishing unit or Deliver fuel. We are an emergency fuel services company , and our customers rely on us during hurricanes, severe storms, flooding, power outages, and other natural disasters or emergency events. All employees are required to be available to work during emergency response situations when called upon. This may include extended hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and work during or immediately following severe weather events. Primary Responsibilities Drive a company box truck to customer locations throughout the service area Set up and operate our mobile diesel fuel filtration and centrifugal fuel-polishing system Operate the truck-mounted generator and associated pumps and equipment Connect and disconnect fuel hoses, fittings, valves, and filtration equipment Monitor fuel flow, filtration equipment, tanks, and operating conditions throughout the job Assist with removing water, sediment, sludge, and contaminants from diesel fuel and fuel-storage systems Work around above-ground and underground diesel storage tanks Perform basic inspections and maintenance on filtration equipment, pumps, hoses, generators, and the service truck Maintain a clean and organized truck and work area Follow company safety procedures and customer site requirements Complete basic job paperwork and service documentation Communicate professionally with customers and other employees Work independently as well as with another technician when required Driving Requirements A good driving record is required for this position. Our technicians regularly operate company vehicles, and our commercial auto insurance requires employees in driving positions to meet specific driving-history standards.

Employees must be able to:

Lift and carry hoses, fittings, tools, and other equipment Frequently bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work around fuel tanks and equipment Work outdoors in hot, cold, and wet conditions Must be comfortable working at heights and climbing on top of fuel storage tanks as part of normal job duties. Stand and walk for extended periods Safely handle the physical requirements associated with setting up and breaking down fuel-filtration equipment Able to sit for long periods We are looking for someone who is reliable, mechanically capable, safety-minded, and takes care of company equipment . Because much of our work is performed at hospitals and other critical facilities, professionalism and attention to detail are extremely important. Our customers depend on their stored diesel fuel to operate emergency generators when needed, so our technicians are expected to take their work seriously and complete each job safely and correctly. If you enjoy hands-on work, working with mechanical equipment, traveling to different jobsites, and not sitting behind a desk all day, this may be a good fit.

$18.00 per hour
