Position Overview:
The Service Technician II is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining motorcoaches and other commercial vehicles. This role performs a wide range of mechanical and electrical repairs on diesel-powered vehicles, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspects, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains motorcoaches, commercial and non-commercial vehicles, and other vehicles or machines as directed. Maintains a safe and clean work environment, free from hazards and unnecessary noise which could lead to distractions from the work at hand. Understands and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures Maintains compliance with all local, State, and Federal regulations applicable to operations, buildings, grounds, and personnel including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, and DOT. Specific duties and responsibilities will change as the company adapts to future trends in the business but include the requirement to clearly document all repairs made on work orders using shop computers and associated software. Must accurately maintain and track time and attendance. Must work to expand knowledge and skill levels needed to perform maintenance and repairs effectively and efficiently on both customer and internal vehicles. Ability to demonstrate maturity and self-respect while upholding ABC's core values at all times. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What Success Looks Like In this role, you'll make an impact by: Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues accurately and efficiently to keep vehicles safe, reliable, and road-ready. Completing high-quality repairs and preventive maintenance that maximize vehicle uptime and minimize repeat repairs. Taking ownership of assigned work by accurately documenting repairs, identifying required parts, and completing jobs within expected timeframes. Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment while consistently following company procedures and regulatory requirements. Building your technical expertise through hands-on experience, training, and continued development across evolving commercial vehicle technologies. Contributing to a dependable, team-focused service operation that delivers quality workmanship and an exceptional experience for ABC customers.
Qualifications:
2-4 years of motorcoach, diesel, or heavy commercial vehicle repair experience preferred. Requires good organizational skills to include the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and complete assignments within expected time frames Employee must possess the tools necessary to complete assigned responsibilities Previous experience with Body and Frame Repairs Experience with Interior Component repair/replacement Audio/Video knowledge recommended not required Must be able to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical repair needs. Must be able to identify parts needed to effect repairs on vehicles being worked on Must be EPA certified in Refrigerant handling or be able to pass the test within 30 days of being hired Valid driver's license required. CDL Class B with passenger endorsement preferred.

Must be a self-starter and possess a positive attitude Must have a good attendance Must be willing to travel, with possible work on the weekends/overtime
Physical Demands:
