JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the repairs, services and maintenance of all mobile equipment, generators, and mobile and stationary diamond wire saws within the company. This position is also responsible for keeping complete and accurate records of repairs made, promoting safety & a positive work environment. These duties are to be performed with little to no supervision.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Test and troubleshoot all types of machinery/equipment accurately to find malfunctions. Must be proficient & knowledgeable in diagnosing/repairing computer-controlled systems, electrical systems, brakes, steering, suspensions, drive train components, differentials, transfer cases, transmissions, gasoline•and diesel-powered engines, Fuel systems, pneumatic & hydraulic systems on vehicles and light equipment. Be able to read and understand repair manuals, electrical and hydraulic schematics. Repair and install tire chains on equipment. Fabricate, repair, modify & assemble parts as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have completed a vocational program in related field. Must successfully complete/pass a written and practical exam. Have or be able to obtain & maintain a CDL license 2-5 years of related experience in this field Must exhibit exceptional mechanical ability and aptitude. Must be self-motivated and have a sense of urgency. Must have the skills, abilities and knowledge to perform the essential & secondary functions of this job. Demonstrate problem solving skills, communication skills & manual dexterity. Must have the ability to make good sound judgments in heavy equipment repairs to high standards. Must have computer skills and the ability to navigate through programs.
