Field/Shop mechanic needed for highway haul diesel truck and trailer repairs. 5 years experience required. Must have own tools. Some weekends required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in field on Diesel Trucks/Trailers Inspecting and maintaining all types of heavy equipment Disassembling and reassembling engines Safely operate power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and material handling equipment Understand engine, power train, hydraulics and electrical systems Trade specific tooling, including hand tools and pneumatic tools Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures Create and maintain a safe working environment Assess if equipment is cared for currently and notify proper personnel if it is not Work in shop when not in the field Know shop safety protocol Promote 3rd party service Any other duties deemed necessary by a supervisor Education and/or

Work Experience Requirements:

5+ Years of Diesel Truck service tech troubleshooting Excellent attendance Must have own tools Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Self Motivated Valid Driver's License

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone Be on the "on call" schedule for nights & weekends
