Mobile Diesel Mechanic J&M Tank Lines - 2.8 Waco, TX Job Details Full-time 17 hours ago Benefits Fuel card Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Cell phone reimbursement Vision insurance 401(k) matching Tools provided Qualifications Hand tools Full Job Description Join Our Excellent Team of Experienced Mechanics Mobile Diesel Mechanic Cleburne, TX We're looking for a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team and provide field-based maintenance and repairs on our fleet of Class 8 Kenworth tractors and pneumatic tank trailers. This role is ideal for experienced diesel technicians who enjoy working independently, take pride in their craftsmanship, and want to be part of a company that values both performance and people.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and DOT inspections on Class 8 trucks and tank trailers Diagnose and repair defects in tires, brakes, air systems, lighting, suspensions, and hydraulics Troubleshoot and service Cummins engines and Kenworth equipment Handle both scheduled work and occasional roadside breakdowns as needed Document services performed using mobile software or repair logs Ensure safety and compliance in all tasks performed

Competitive hourly pay, based on experience (plus overtime potential) Company-provided service truck and fuel card for mobile work Tool allowance + boot stipend Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for continued training (Cummins, tank trailer, brake, etc.) The ideal candidate will have: 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience (mobile or in-shop); fleet or tank trailer experience a plus Solid understanding of Cummins engines and Kenworth tractors Background in pneumatic trailers preferred (but we'll train the right person) Must have basic hand tools (specialty tools provided) Strong troubleshooting skills and self-motivation Valid driver's license with clean MVR (CDL preferred) About Us J&M Tank Lines, Inc. is a family owned and operated company, running the Southeast and Texas, that has been in business since 1948.
