Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Semi-Truck Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to reliable transportation services. Duties Perform comprehensive inspections and diagnostics on semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and heavy equipment using schematics and automotive electrical system repair techniques Conduct repairs on transmissions, brakes, suspensions, shocks & struts, hydraulics, air brake systems, and other mechanical systems to ensure safety and compliance Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication skills to assemble, repair, or modify vehicle components and industrial equipment Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other farm or industrial machinery for repairs or testing purposes Perform tire service including mounting, balancing, and replacing tires on trucks and heavy equipment Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and manufacturer specifications while providing excellent customer service to truck drivers and fleet operators Requirements Proven experience as a heavy truck mechanic or in a similar automotive repair role with dealership experience preferred Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, vehicle systems, HVAC systems, suspension components, and electrical systems Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues effectively Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and heavy lifting safely Experience working with heavy equipment operation such as excavators or cranes is a plus Knowledge of farm machinery and industrial equipment maintenance is desirable Certification in diesel mechanics or automotive diagnostics is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be considered an asset Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver timely solutions Join us as a Semi-Truck Mechanic where your expertise fuels our success!
