Join Our Team at Merrill Steel! Are you an experienced vehicle and trailer repair professional looking for a rewarding opportunity? Merrill Steel is seeking a dedicated and skilled Technician to join our team. With over five years of experience, you'll play a vital role in maintaining our fleet with confidence and expertise. Enjoy a consistent Monday - Friday schedule from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, in a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Technical Skills You Bring:
Proficient in operating cranes and forklifts Skilled in changing and repairing tires, brakes, and performing oil changes on all vehicles Capable of timely vehicle and trailer repairs with a solid understanding of preventative maintenance Diligent in keeping maintenance records up to date Knowledgeable about OSHA regulations and DOT requirements Advanced skills in non-diesel vehicle repairs and forklift maintenance Experienced in building and maintaining specialty trailers Able to obtain quotes and efficiently order parts Well-versed in hydraulics and fluid power systems Capable of basic repair welding and general cleaning/housekeeping Committed to
Quality and Safety:
Operate all repair equipment safely and responsibly Use overhead cranes and PPE in compliance with safety standards Maintain high-quality work with attention to detail Prioritize safety and quality in every task
Excellent People Skills:
Able to receive and follow instructions effectively Maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude Dependable with reliable attendance Use good judgment and strong interpersonal skills Support and train less experienced team members
Work Environment:

$67,860.00 - $91,260.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 per week
