Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics and automotive electrical systems to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension, and other mechanical components. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, wheel alignments, and equipment inspections to ensure optimal performance. Repair and overhaul heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery by utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Troubleshoot complex mechanical systems involving hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC components, and vehicle systems for trucks and farm machinery. Perform heavy lifting and assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment parts during repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; interpret schematics for accurate troubleshooting. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities; conduct quality checks before returning equipment to service. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic in a dealership or heavy equipment environment. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types including heavy trucks, trailers, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical system repair techniques. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of performing heavy equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including cranes and excavators is highly desirable. Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. $50,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
