Locations vary by job-TBD Position Summary Millwright is responsible for the installation, assembly, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment used in oil and gas facilities, including compressor stations, processing plants, pump stations, pipelines, meter stations, and related infrastructure. This position requires precision workmanship, the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, assemble, and commissioning support on mechanical equipment, including compressors, pumps, motors, vessels, and rotating equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, equipment manuals, piping drawings, and installation specifications. Conduct equipment inspections and troubleshoot mechanical failures. Verify equipment elevations, dimensions and alignment requirements. Assist with rigging, hoisting, lifting, and setting equipment using cranes, chain falls, and other lifting devices. Install and torque bolted connections according to manufacturer and project specifications. Participate in equipment startup, commissioning, pressure testing, and turnover activities. Report accurate records of work performed, inspections, and equipment maintenance activities. Collaborate with welders, pipefitters, electricians, operators, and other craft personnel to complete project objectives. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition. Follow all company, client, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements. Qualifications Required High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 3 years of millwright experience in industrial, energy, manufacturing, or oil and gas construction environments. Experience installing, maintaining, and aligning rotating equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Knowledge of mechanical systems, power transmission equipment, and precision measuring instruments. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Preferred Oil and gas, compressor station, processing plant, refinery, or pipeline facility experience. NCCER Millwright Certification. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification. Experience with laser alignment equipment. Rigging and signal person certification. Forklift, aerial lift, and telehandler certifications. First Aid/CPR certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of rotating and stationary equipment installation practices. Ability to perform precision measurements using micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and laser alignment tools. Understanding of rigging, lifting, and material handling procedures. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, equipment manuals, and installation procedures. Commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work in awkward positions for extended periods. Ability to climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, and access confined spaces when required. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, FR clothing, and steel-toed boots. Work Environment Industrial construction sites, oil and gas facilities, compressor stations, pipelines, utility projects, and manufacturing facilities. Exposure to heavy equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust, vibration, and changing weather conditions. Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, teamwork, and adaptability. Overtime, weekends, night shifts, and extended work schedules may be required. Frequent out-of-town work and travel are required.
