Power the Operation. Solve Problems. Build Your Skills. Job Description Pride Group is seeking a dependable, hands-on Power Technician to join our Power team. This position is responsible for the setup, operation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of temporary power systems and equipment supporting Pride Group operations, client projects, and events. The Power Technician works with generators, light towers, power distribution equipment, cabling, and related electrical and mechanical systems. This is an active field and shop position for someone who enjoys working with equipment, solving problems, learning technical skills, and being part of a team that takes pride in getting the job done right. Electrical, generator, mechanical, or equipment experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to learn and grow within the Power team. What You'll Do Set up, operate, monitor, and break down generators and temporary power systems. Install and safely route power distribution equipment, cabling, and related components. Operate generators, light towers, and other power equipment safely and efficiently. Assist with the servicing, preventative maintenance, and repair of generators, light towers, and related power equipment. Perform routine equipment inspections and identify maintenance, service, or repair needs. Assist with basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs under the direction of experienced team members. Troubleshoot power and equipment issues in the field and work with the team to develop timely solutions. Prepare, inspect, and test equipment to ensure it is operationally ready before deployment. Inspect equipment upon return and communicate any damage, maintenance, or repair needs. Maintain equipment cleanliness, organization, and overall condition. Follow established electrical, equipment, and workplace safety procedures. Maintain accurate equipment, service, maintenance, and operational documentation. Load, secure, transport, and unload generators, power equipment, cable, and related materials as required. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, clients, and other Pride Group departments. Maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas, vehicles, and equipment. Support changing operational needs and assignments as required. What We're Looking For Electrical, generator, mechanical, construction, automotive, equipment, or similar hands-on experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn generator and temporary power systems. Ability and willingness to learn equipment servicing, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic repairs. Strong basic math and problem-solving skills. Ability to follow diagrams, instructions, procedures, and safety requirements. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy, safety, and quality of work. Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change. Ability to remain calm, think through problems, and remain solution-focused when working under pressure. Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and power cable. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. CDL preferred or willingness to obtain. Ability to meet Pride Group's employment and safety requirements.
