Responsibilities:
Performing High, Medium, and Low voltage testing of electrical power equipment. Consult manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and determineoptimum equipment functioning. Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests, repairs, and maintenance performed. Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and clean equipment and components in a substation.
Qualifications Requirements:
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Complete a satisfactory criminal background check. Able to work overtime and travel out of town for periods of time. Able to climb ladders, stand for extended periods, able to lift 70 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license and currently have and be able to maintaina good driving record. Experience with the following test equipment: Power Factor, Ductor, Megger, CT ration & saturation, and Hi-Pot Knowledge of circuit breakers, transforms, switchgear, motors,
PTs, and CCVTs Preferred:
NETA certified a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The job requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses always), respirator when required. Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job
