$90,000 - $130,000 per year (based on experience) A leading manufacturer of high-precision CNC machine tools, 5-axis machining centers, CNC turning centers, and horitzontal and vertical machining centers is seeking a Field Service Engineer / CNC Service Engineer based in Southern California to support distributors and end users across the region. CNC Service Engineer Responsibilities:
Travel throughout Southern California to install, service, and maintain CNC machine tools, including 5-axis machining centers, CNC turning centers, horizontal and vertical machining centers. Perform machine installations, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to maximize customer uptime and machine performance. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and CNC control-related issues. Analyze technical problems, implement corrective actions, and provide clear recommendations to customers and internal teams. Support distributors and end users with technical guidance, machine optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate service reports and communicate service activities, findings, and recommendations. Field Service Engineer /
CNC Service Engineer Requirements:
Prior experience installing, servicing or maintaining CNC machine tools, 5-axis machining centers, or similar precision machinery. Strong understanding of CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, Mazatrol, or similar platforms. Engineering degree, technical degree, or machine tool technology background is preferred but not required, candidates with a strong field service or maintenance background working with CNC controlled machine tools are encouraged to apply. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout Southern California to support customers and distributors. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Additional Information Field-based service role supporting advanced CNC machine tools.
Territory:
Southern California Primary focus: CNC machine installation, service, and preventative maintenance. Full training is provided on their machine tools and CNC controls.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
