Bagan Inc. - 3.3 Columbia City, IN Job Details Full-time 2 days ago Benefits Paid holidays Dependent care reimbursement Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Qualifications Customer communication Customer service Attention to detail Geometry Organizational skills Algebra Full Job Description Field Service Engineer The Field Service Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, performing preventive maintenance, and completing start-ups on rubber testing and measurement instruments. Job Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to: Performing start-ups on newly installed equipment Completing warranty service on new equipment Conducting preventive maintenance on instruments Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues Using a laptop computer to identify and resolve problems Performing necessary repairs Completing all required documentation accurately and on time Communicating required repairs and service needs to both customers and the Service Manager Maintaining responsibility for company-owned parts inventory, test equipment, tools, and service vehicle Tracking and recording time and expenses daily Cleaning and organizing the work area upon completion of service tasks Qualifications and Attributes The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: An associate's degree from a college or technical school, at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight or multi-day trips Strong organizational skills Basic math skills, including algebra, geometry, and statistics Proficiency with basic hand tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail Excellent customer service and communication skills Self-motivated and dependable Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to read, understand, and troubleshoot from wiring schematics Willingness to participate in company training programs to expand technical knowledge At least two years of experience working with testing equipment preferred Calibration experience preferred Salary and Benefits Compensation is competitive and based on experience.
