In-Person Competitive Salary 3 Years Experience Bachelor's degree No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description Voith Hydro, Inc. seeks an Engineer, Field Service (York, PA) to develop concepts, execution plans and cost estimates for field service scope of proposals for hydro-power generation projects. Understand technical requirements as well as legal/regional regulations. Ensure availability of all required information. Participate in site assessments. Facilitate clarifications with customers. Prepare specifications for purchased services/supplies and evaluate bids/offers. Identify risks and opportunities during proposal phase and define contingency plans. Facilitate project startup and detail field service concept/plans during project execution. Participate in design review meetings and ensure field related design considerations. Develop and ensure availability of project specific procedures and safety assessments. Determine site layouts, tooling/fixtures and site infrastructure requirements. Ensure availability of HSE and quality plans and documents. Support project managers and site managers in executing the field service scope of projects. Monitor target achievement regarding quality schedule and costs, and support corrective actions. Facilitate identification and allocation of required internal and external resources. Provide technical support and advice to field sites. 10% domestic travel and up to 5% international travel to client sites, including locations throughout the United States and Canada.
Job Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electro-mechanical Engineering or related field and 3 years of experience in the Hydro-power generation industry.
Must have experience with:
Hydroelectric power systems, including hydro turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment; Reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, schedules and budgets; Management of hydro-power generation projects from bidding phase to contract execution phase; Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Using Oracle Primavera P6 for project scheduling and resource management; OSHA standards applicable to construction and/or general industry environments; and AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks. 10% domestic travel and up to 5% international travel to client sites, including locations throughout the United States and Canada.
