Job Description

Metso USA Inc. is looking for a Field Service Engineer II (Grinding) to study, plan, and prepare for field work and provide advisory service during installation, checkout, start-up, and commissioning requirements; Remote position based out of York, PA.
Required:
 Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering and 5 years of experience in field service roles involving installation, alignment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy industrial equipment. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, a high school diploma and 9 years of experience in field service roles involving installation, alignment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of heavy industrial equipment is acceptable. In addition, the following specific skills are required:
  • 5 years of experience with mechanical or electrical instruments such as remote temperature sensors, OR gear spray system. 
  • 5 years of experience (9 w/ HS Diploma) with Mill drives, bearings, girth gears, pinions, and lubrication systems.
  • 5 years of experience (9 w/ HS Diploma) with Alignment techniques such as laser alignment, dial indicators, or coupling checks
  • 5 years of experience (9 w/ HS Diploma) with Vibration analysis and condition monitoring methods.
  • 3 years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) reading and interpreting imperial and metric tape measures, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, engineering and architectural drawings 
  • 3 years of experience (7 w/ HS Diploma) with hydraulic and pneumatic systems related to related to mill maintenance
  • Up to 70% domestic travel to unanticipated locations with extended duration (1-6 week)
