Regional / Nationwide Travel We're working with a growing industrial engineering business looking to add a Field Service Engineer to support automated machinery and industrial equipment at customer sites. This opportunity would suit an experienced Field Service Engineer or a strong Industrial Maintenance, Controls or Automation Technician looking to move into a field-based position. The Role Service, troubleshoot and repair automated industrial machinery Diagnose electrical, mechanical and controls faults Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance Install and commission new machinery and equipment Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment Work with motors, VFDs, sensors, conveyors, pneumatics and control systems Complete equipment upgrades and modifications Provide technical support directly to customers Travel to customer sites as required Suitable Backgrounds We're interested in candidates with experience across: Industrial automation Packaging machinery Conveyors and material handling Robotics Food processing equipment Manufacturing machinery Machine building Industrial maintenance Electrical maintenance Controls Ideal Experience Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working with automated industrial machinery PLC troubleshooting experience Allen-Bradley / Rockwell or Siemens experience advantageous Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors and industrial controls Comfortable working independently Strong customer-facing and communication skills Willingness to travel Previous Field Service experience is not essential. Candidates currently working as Maintenance Technicians, Controls Technicians, Automation Technicians or Electro-Mechanical Technicians who are interested in moving into Field Service are encouraged to apply.
