JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to support our service department with routine maintenance, repair, and testing services on all types of engine generators, industrial engines, engine controls, and power transfer switches. Duties will include inspections, testing, advanced diagnosis, repair, overhaul, assembly, installations, electrical wiring, and maintenance of a variety of industrial diesel and gaseous fueled engines, heavy-duty industrial machinery, engine generators, power transfer switches, electrical switchgear, controllers, alternators, and diesel particulate filters. Technicians will be required to perform load bank testing of power generators and service electrical backup power generation systems. We need someone who is detail oriented, organized and reliable. Our service department is headquartered in Moorpark, CA. This position requires travel to various locations within the Southern California area.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience in the diagnostics, maintenance, and repair service of heavy equipment, engine generators, AC alternators, transfer switches, engine controls, and large, high horsepower industrial diesel engines is highly desirable. Knowledge of commercial industrial power generation and electrical distribution systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of Cummins, Volvo, John Deere, CAT, FPT, and ASCO Power products are highly desirable. Must posses knowledge, skills and ability to work independently in field service work. CA-State driver's license with a clean driving record is required at all times. CA-State DMV Driver's Record and background review is required prior to employment. Must possess strong organizational and self-management skills. Must possess exceptional communication and customer service skills. Must be available to be "on-call", as needed, and work overtime, including evenings, holidays, and weekends as needed.
