Fortified Integrated Solutions LLC is a growing veteran-owned restoration company providing emergency restoration and property recovery services throughout Florida. We specialize in water damage restoration, structural drying, fire and smoke damage restoration, mold remediation, storm damage response, contents restoration, and commercial loss recovery. We are building a team of dependable, professional Restoration Technicians who take pride in their work and are ready to help property owners and businesses recover when disaster strikes. This is a hands-on position with opportunities to grow into Lead Technician, Crew Chief, Project Manager, and other leadership positions as our company expands.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Restoration Technician is responsible for assisting with emergency mitigation and restoration projects involving water, fire, smoke, mold, storm, and other property damage. Technicians will work on residential, commercial, multifamily, healthcare, hospitality, government, and other properties. You will work directly with Lead Technicians, Crew Chiefs, and Project Managers to complete projects safely, efficiently, professionally, and according to company procedures and applicable industry standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Water Damage Restoration Respond to emergency water damage calls. Perform water extraction using portable and commercial extraction equipment. Identify affected building materials and areas. Assist with moisture mapping and determining the extent of water intrusion. Set up air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment. Take and document moisture readings. Monitor drying progress and equipment performance. Remove damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, baseboards, cabinetry, and other affected materials when authorized. Perform cleaning, sanitizing, and deodorization. Maintain accurate daily drying and moisture documentation. Mold Remediation Assist with mold remediation projects. Establish containment and critical barriers. Set up negative-air and HEPA filtration equipment. Perform controlled removal of affected materials. HEPA vacuum and clean affected surfaces. Properly bag, contain, and dispose of contaminated materials. Follow required PPE, respiratory protection, and company safety procedures. Assist with post-remediation cleaning and preparation for clearance testing when applicable. Fire & Smoke Restoration Assist with fire and smoke damage cleanup. Perform soot and residue cleaning. Clean structural surfaces and affected contents. Assist with smoke odor removal and deodorization procedures. Set up air scrubbers and odor-control equipment. Assist with contents manipulation, pack-outs, cleaning, inventory, and pack-backs. Storm & Emergency Response Respond to emergency losses when assigned. Assist with emergency board-up and temporary protection. Assist with tarping and stabilization activities when trained and authorized. Participate in large-loss and catastrophe response when required. Be available for occasional travel and extended projects. Documentation Take clear before, during, and after photographs. Record moisture readings and equipment placement. Maintain accurate daily job notes. Document work completed and changes in job-site conditions. Use company-provided mobile/job-management software. Immediately communicate unexpected conditions or additional damage to supervisors. Equipment & Vehicles Load and unload restoration equipment and materials. Properly set up, operate, clean, and maintain restoration equipment. Maintain organized company vehicles. Keep equipment clean and ready for emergency deployment. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Maintain an organized warehouse and work area when assigned. Customer Service Our technicians frequently enter a customer's property immediately after a stressful event. Professionalism is essential.

Technicians are expected to:

Treat customers, tenants, property managers, and other occupants respectfully. Communicate professionally. Protect unaffected areas of the property. Maintain clean and organized job sites. Explain basic work being performed when appropriate. Never make unauthorized promises regarding insurance coverage, pricing, project scope, or completion dates. Represent Fortified Integrated Solutions professionally at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Reliable transportation to assigned reporting location. Ability to pass applicable pre-employment screening. Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and customers. Ability to use a smartphone/tablet for photos and job documentation. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Willingness to learn restoration industry standards and procedures. Willingness to participate in an emergency/on-call rotation.

EXPERIENCE

Restoration experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate . Candidates with experience in any of the following are encouraged to apply: Water mitigation Fire restoration Mold remediation Construction Demolition General labor Maintenance Facilities maintenance Carpet/floor cleaning Janitorial services Plumbing HVAC Moving/contents handling Disaster response We are willing to train dependable candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS

The following certifications are preferred but are not required for every applicant: IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD) IICRC Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) IICRC Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) OSHA training Additional restoration, safety, or remediation certifications Candidates with applicable certifications should include them on their resume/application.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a physically demanding, hands-on position.

Technicians must be able to:

Regularly lift and carry approximately 50 lbs. Move restoration equipment such as air movers and dehumidifiers. Stand and walk for extended periods. Bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and reach. Safely climb and work from ladders. Work in attics, crawlspaces, and other confined areas when required. Work while wearing appropriate PPE and respiratory protection when required. Work in hot, humid, wet, dusty, dirty, or otherwise challenging environments. Work around cleaning products and restoration chemicals while following applicable safety procedures.

SCHEDULE & EMERGENCY RESPONSE

Property damage does not always occur during normal business hours. Candidates must understand that Fortified Integrated Solutions provides 24/7 emergency restoration services .

The position may require:

Rotating on-call availability Nights Weekends Holidays Overtime Emergency call-outs Occasional overnight or statewide travel Extended hours during storms, hurricanes, catastrophes, and large-loss projects Emergency availability will be scheduled and communicated whenever possible.
