Job Description
Overview The Service Technician is a key member of the UCPD team. The Service Technician's role includes pump, wastewater, and construction troubleshooting in real time. The expectations of a Service Technician include but are not limited to installing, assessing, and coordinating a variety of diverse technical, electrical, and mechanical projects throughout the UCPD service area.
Position Description:
Inspect electrical and mechanical equipment for faults and malfunctions. Complete accurate work orders, parts lists, and supply any relevant photos of job- site work.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant industrial, mechanical, or electrical experience
- Ability to use tooling that includes but is not limited to wrenches, drivers, and power tools
- Availability to work rotating emergency on
- call hours, including weekends
- Must have a current and non
- suspended driver's license
- Coordinates parts, supplies or tools needed to complete service requests
- Relays any special problems to Operations Coordinator
- Must be able to maintain company assigned vehicle in working and organized order to perform job
- site tasks
- Loads, delivers, installs, and specs equipment
- Trains customers on the use and basic maintenance of equipment sold
- Completes all required paperwork (time sheets, service orders, forms, inventory, expense reports, purchase card, and equipment related items) within a timely manner
- Returns defective modules, assemblies or parts to the local office and labels items
- Manages vehicle inventory and restocks as necessary
- May be required to update immunizations to work around solid waste
- Other duties as assigned by management
Preferred:
- 1+ years of relevant water, wastewater, or electrical panel work preferred
- Electrical journeyman licensing preferred
- Commercial Driver's License preferred
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move arms above shoulders above head
- Required to lift, push, pull, and or carry equipment and tools, which may be over forty (40) pounds
- Working environment may involve climbing ladders and scaffoldings with equipment, upwards to (40) feet

Pay:
$19.00- $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0
