About Us We are a leading industrial saw supplier serving manufacturing and fabrication customers throughout the Midwest. We sell new industrial saws and replacement parts and provide expert service and repair for industrial sawing equipment. Our team prides itself on exceptional customer service, fast turnaround times, and dependable technical support. Position Overview We are seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial sawing equipment at customer locations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, solving problems, and working directly with customers. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and eager to develop their technical skills while building a long-term career in industrial equipment service. Travel throughout the Midwest will be required, with occasional travel to customer locations nationally. Responsibilities Install industrial sawing machinery at customer facilities Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections Troubleshoot and repair industrial sawing equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues Identify the cause of equipment problems and determine appropriate repairs Test equipment following installation, maintenance, and repairs Document service work, repairs, and equipment findings Communicate repair recommendations and findings clearly with customers Provide professional, responsive customer service at customer locations Represent the company professionally while working at customer facilities Coordinate with the parts department to obtain required parts for repairs Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in an organized and professional manner Travel to customer locations throughout the Midwest and occasionally nationally Follow established safety procedures and company processes Participate in ongoing product and technical training Qualifications High mechanical aptitude and a strong interest in troubleshooting equipment Excellent problem-solving skills Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently in the field Ability to read and follow technical information, manuals, and documentation Comfortable learning new equipment, technology, and diagnostic procedures Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Willingness and ability to travel as required Previous experience in industrial equipment, manufacturing, machinery, automotive, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, or field service is preferred but not required Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who enjoys figuring out how things work and solving mechanical problems. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, professional with customers, and comfortable working independently. You don't need to know everything about industrial sawing equipment on day one. We're looking for someone with the mechanical aptitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn needed to become a highly skilled service technician.
