Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Water Demolition Technician to join a growing restoration team in Ramsey, MN. This hands-on position supports water mitigation and restoration projects by removing water-damaged materials, performing demolition and cleanup, setting up drying equipment, and helping prepare residential and commercial properties for restoration. The ideal candidate has previous restoration, demolition, construction, or other hands-on labor experience and is comfortable using hand and power tools. This role requires someone who can work safely in changing job-site conditions, respond to emergency situations, and provide professional service while working in customers' homes and businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform demolition and removal of water-damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, and other affected building materials. Assist with water extraction, cleanup, and mitigation activities. Set up, monitor, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, and other drying equipment. Assist with structural drying and moisture-control activities. Use hand and power tools to safely remove damaged materials. Measure, cut, and handle materials as required during demolition and restoration work. Move debris and damaged materials from work areas and prepare them for proper disposal. Protect unaffected areas of the property during demolition and cleanup activities. Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites throughout each project. Assist with documenting job-site conditions and project progress as required. Communicate professionally with homeowners, customers, project managers, and other team members. Identify and report additional damage or job-site concerns to the appropriate supervisor. Follow established restoration procedures, safety standards, and company requirements. Properly use and maintain assigned tools, equipment, and PPE. Assist other restoration team members with additional project responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous water damage restoration, mitigation, construction, demolition, or similar hands-on experience preferred. Basic carpentry and interior demolition skills preferred. Experience using hand and power tools. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Ability to pass a criminal background check. Ability to respond to emergency situations and participate in an on-call rotation. IICRC certification is a plus. Previous water mitigation or structural drying experience preferred. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Dependable with strong attendance and a willingness to work until assigned projects are completed. Strong awareness of job-site safety and proper equipment use. Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to frequently stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, reach, and perform physically demanding tasks. Ability to safely operate restoration equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to work in varying temperatures, weather conditions, and job-site environments.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed at residential and commercial restoration sites. Regular exposure to water-damaged structures, demolition debris, construction materials, and active restoration environments. Work may take place indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Fast-paced environment that may include emergency response situations. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. Overtime and on-call work may be required based on project and emergency-response needs.
