Job Description

Field Service Technician - Electromechanical Equipment Romanoff International Supply Corp. | Amityville, NY | Full-Time Romanoff International, established in 1949, is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to join our technical service team. We sell, install, train, and support advanced manufacturing equipment including 3D precision wax printers, induction melting and casting systems, laser welders, laser engravers, and related industrial equipment used in jewelry manufacturing, aerospace, medical, dental, R&D, and other precision manufacturing applications. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and learning new technologies. What You'll Do Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, and calibrate electromechanical equipment Provide technical support by phone, email, remote connection, and on-site service Perform equipment installations and customer training Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software-related issues Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and other test equipment Document service calls, repairs, and technical issues Communicate professionally with customers and provide strong follow-up Travel to customer locations as needed Receive ongoing factory and technical training on the equipment we support What We're Looking For Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Hands-on experience repairing or servicing equipment Ability to diagnose complex electromechanical problems Comfortable using multimeters and diagnostic/test equipment Basic computer and software troubleshooting skills Strong communication and customer service skills Organized and able to work independently Willingness to travel when required Desire to learn new equipment and emerging technologies Experience with industrial equipment, robotics, automation, CNC equipment, 3D printers, medical equipment, electronics, or other electromechanical systems is highly desirable. Previous experience with our specific equipment is not required. We provide training.
