Full-Time Position Summary Pendu Manufacturing LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician - Heavy Machinery to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial and heavy equipment at customer sites. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues, and a willingness to travel to customer locations to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with heavy machinery, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, and start up new heavy machinery and equipment at customer facilities. Perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Conduct preventative maintenance and equipment inspections. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals. Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation and maintenance. Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and documentation. Coordinate with internal engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve equipment issues. Identify opportunities for equipment upgrades, repairs, and replacement parts. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards and industry regulations. Travel to customer locations as required to support service calls. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred . 3+ years of experience servicing heavy machinery, industrial equipment, or similar systems.
Strong knowledge of:
Mechanical systems Hydraulics and pneumatics Electrical controls and troubleshooting Ability to read electrical diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and mechanical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service assignments. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial environments. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or related field . Experience with industrial wood processing equipment, shredders, or material handling systems. Experience with PLC-controlled machinery. Welding or fabrication experience. Previous field service or mobile technician experience.
