Full-time About Us Austin Armature Works Field Service is a team of skilled mechanics, electricians, and controls technicians serving the Water and Wastewater and Quarry industries across central Texas. These industries rely on fast response times in an industry that never stops running. AAW seeks to fill the needs of the industry by being fast, efficient and impressive. About the Role We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Office Assistant to support our Field Service Manager and help keep the entire crew running efficiently. Our team fields a high volume of calls every day — many of them from customers with urgent, time-sensitive emergencies — and this role is critical to making sure nothing falls through the cracks. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, managing incoming calls and organizing the flow of emails that currently go straight to our Field Service Manager. You'll help our team stay on schedule, on top of communications, and organized as we grow. What You'll Do Answer and triage incoming customer calls, including emergency service requests Organize and manage email communications currently directed to the Field Service Manager Help schedule and coordinate field service work Learn and use our internal system, Motorbase, to track jobs and keep records organized Support the Field Service Manager and crew with day-to-day administrative tasks including creating reports, auditing employee truck inventories and inputting data in daily job reports Identify ways to improve office and team efficiency What We're Looking For Strong organizational and multitasking skills Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls, including urgent customer issues Solid computer skills and ability to learn new software systems Clear, professional communication skills, both written and verbal A background in electrical, mechanical, or field service operations is a plus — but not required Candidates from the rock quarry, industrial, or related trades industries are welcome to apply No industry experience required if you bring strong organizational and computer skills Why Join Us You'll be part of a tight-knit, hands-on team that keeps essential water, wastewater, and industrial operations running. Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
