Overview Join our dynamic team as a Lead Water Mitigation Technician and take charge of restoring properties affected by water damage, floods, and other related incidents. In this energetic role, you will lead on-site mitigation efforts, coordinate with clients and team members, and ensure safety and quality standards are met consistently. Your expertise will help clients recover swiftly from water-related disasters while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Responsibilities Lead and oversee water damage restoration projects, including flood and mold remediation, ensuring all work meets safety protocols and industry standards. Perform water extraction, cleaning, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment such as moisture meters, Xactimate estimating software, and power tools. Conduct detailed assessments of affected areas to determine scope of work and develop effective mitigation strategies. Manage on-site safety procedures by enforcing PPE use, respiratory protection, asbestos abatement protocols, and other safety measures to protect team members and clients. Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation to job sites, maintaining compliance with all driving policies. Coordinate with clients to communicate project progress, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the mitigation process. Train and mentor junior technicians on proper restoration techniques, equipment operation, safety procedures, and industry best practices. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed using Xactimate or similar estimating tools for insurance claims processing. Skills Proven experience in water damage restoration, flood recovery, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement within the restoration industry. Strong emergency response readiness with the ability to respond promptly to urgent situations requiring flood or water damage mitigation. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and other restoration-specific machinery. Excellent customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions during stressful situations. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use, respiratory protection measures, and adherence to OSHA standards. Construction experience is a plus for understanding structural repairs related to water damage repairs. Familiarity with Xactimate estimating software for project costing and insurance claims support. Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly while maintaining a valid driver's license.
