This job is taking place in Kerman, CA.
Pay:
$28.00- 35.00 Depending on experience
Basic Functions:
Assist the Shop Manager to insure a safe, compliant and efficient operating fleet by helping with all daily fleet and maintenance activities. Recommend improvements to enhance the operational efficiency and safety of the equipment and department.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Able to work with & communicate with Shop Manager to determine daily workload & repair issues, on a timely basis. Performs daily routines, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, vehicles & trucks. Able to assess mechanical issues and diagnose mechanical problems, weld, change out components/parts in the engine. No internal engine, transmission or differential abilities required, however preferred. Able to maintain part & material inventory for fleet. Detail oriented & great organization skills, able to find parts on demand. Complies with all maintenance shop policies and procedures. Reports any unsafe conditions and or practices. Ensures the cleanliness and good-working order of the maintenance shop and equipment. Updates and submits required reporting/paperwork to management in a timely manner. Other special projects, implementations and tasks as assigned. Core Competencies Set high work standards and motivate others Ability to communicate with management Focus on safety, quality and details Use technical and professional knowledge and acquired skills Physical requirement - able to carry up to 50 lbs. Required and Preferred Qualifications (Skills, Education and Experience) High School Diploma Minimum 3 years related maintenance experience Preferred 3-5 years related maintenance and diagnostic experience Preferred Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with clean driving record Ability to pass a random drug screen Ability to read and write English 3-5 years hydraulic experience 3-5 years MIG and or stick welding experience Preferred dealership experience using computer diagnostics equipment
