Responsibilities Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process customer transactions quickly and efficiently Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or product demos to enhance sales opportunities Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including merchandising and stocking shelves as needed Ensure compliance with phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers over the phone or in person Assist with inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and merchandising to ensure product availability Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively in both bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) environments Basic math skills for handling cash transactions, giving correct change, and performing retail math calculations Demonstrated ability to supervise or assist team members during busy periods is a plus Knowledge of POS systems and familiarity with grocery store operations enhances performance in this role Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills are essential for building positive shopper relationships Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a friendly attitude in a fast-paced setting Join us as a Cashier and become an integral part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding service.
