Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medium Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on medium-duty trucks, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, hydraulics, electrical systems, and air brake components. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid replacements, and component replacements to extend vehicle lifespan. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and accurately. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding and hand tools to meet specific repair or operational needs. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in the assembly, disassembly, and overhaul of various equipment including farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle systems. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics tools and reading schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with heavy truck repair, forklift operation, excavator or crane maintenance is highly desirable. Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques for repairs and fabrication. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicles; familiarity with tire service is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Valid certifications related to heavy equipment mechanics or diesel mechanics are advantageous; ongoing training encouraged.
