OverviewA masonry shop mechanic maintains and repairs heavy masonry equipment, trucks, and specialized tools like brick saws, mortar mixers, and forklifts. Pay typically ranges from $32 to $40 per hour depending on experience, requiring a valid driver's license, mechanical expertise, and own hand tools. Maintain, troubleshoot, and fix job-site machinery including mortar mixers, masonry brick saws, and generators. Inspect and service hydraulic, pneumatic, and low-voltage electrical systems on equipment. Maintain organized repair logs, parts inventories, and service schedules for all shop assets. Ensure all repaired tools and heavy equipment comply with safety standards before deployment.
