Black Swamp Steel, Inc. | Holland, Ohio Black Swamp Steel, Inc. is a certified steel contractor serving Ohio and Michigan. For more than 33 years, we have provided reinforcing steel installation, structural steel erection, and reinforcing steel fabrication and supply. We are looking for a dependable, energetic team member to fabricate rebar in our Holland shop and deliver orders to customers and active job sites. What You'll Do Cut, bend, and fabricate reinforcing steel using bending machines, shears, and other shop equipment. Measure rebar accurately using tape measures, rulers, and templates. Deliver orders to customers and job sites, including driving a large truck with a trailer. Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly work with the Project Manager. Verify quantities of materials received and shipped, and complete shipping and receiving paperwork. Assist customers and help load and unload trucks by hand or with a forklift. Participate in physical inventory counts. Follow safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment. What We're Looking For A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Dependability, good time management, and the ability to adjust priorities as needed. The ability to work independently and with a team in a busy shop. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the Holland shop. Comfort driving and navigating a large truck pulling a trailer. Forklift experience is preferred. Ability to pass a drug test, DOT physical, and background check. Physical and Work Environment Requirements This role involves regularly standing, sitting, crouching, kneeling, reaching overhead, twisting, and bending. You must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds. Work may take place in dusty or dirty conditions and outdoors in a range of weather.
