Mechanic Assistant Pay Rate:

Experience Required:

Basic mechanical aptitude Full Time , Temp to Hire Key Responsibilities Assist mechanics with the disassembly and reassembly of large mining haul trucks and components Clean, inspect, organize, label, and store parts throughout the remanufacturing process Learn to identify mechanical components using parts books, diagrams, and work instructions Retrieve tools, parts, and materials for mechanics as needed Follow written and verbal instructions while assisting with repairs and component rebuilds Use basic hand tools safely and effectively Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow all company safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED (preferred) Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Ability to safely use standard hand tools Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Dependable with a strong focus on safety and teamwork Ability to perform physical work, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending, and kneeling throughout the workday Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse, shop, or industrial environment Familiarity with basic mechanical components and tools Ability to read simple parts books and identify components Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus but not required Interest in developing a career in heavy equipment maintenance and remanufacturing Work Environment / Physical Requirements Shop-based warehouse and heavy equipment remanufacturing environment Work around large mining haul truck components, including Komatsu 930E equipment Frequent lifting, carrying, cleaning, and organizing of parts and materials Ability to stand, bend, climb, and work around large equipment and assemblies Exposure to oils, grease, cleaning solvents, and varying shop temperatures while following all required safety procedures Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $20.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
