Overview Total Quality MWD is seeking a Shop Technician to support our Measurement While Drilling (MWD) equipment and growing U.S. operation in Conroe, Texas. This is a hands-on position focused on the inspection, testing, cleaning, preparation, shipping, receiving, and inventory control of MWD equipment and field kits . Previous experience in MWD, directional drilling, downhole tools, or oilfield services is preferred. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn. Training will be provided on our specific MWD equipment and procedures. Key Responsibilities Inspect, test, clean, and prepare MWD equipment for field deployment. Assemble and disassemble MWD tools and related equipment. Identify damaged, worn, or missing equipment requiring repair or replacement. Prepare and verify MWD field kits before shipment. Accurately inventory tools, spare parts, equipment, and accessories. Receive and inspect returned field equipment. Maintain accurate equipment and inventory records. Package and prepare equipment for shipment. Assist with shipping and receiving, including loading and unloading deliveries. Safely operate a forklift and material-handling equipment . Maintain organized inventory, storage, and work areas. Follow established work instructions, inspection procedures, and safety practices. Qualifications Previous MWD, directional drilling, downhole tool, oilfield service, shop, or equipment experience is preferred. Mechanically inclined and comfortable using hand tools. Shipping, receiving, or inventory experience is an asset. Forklift experience preferred; training/certification can be provided. Basic computer skills for inventory and equipment records. Able to follow procedures and maintain accurate records. Reliable, organized, safety-conscious, and willing to learn. Physical Requirements This is an active shop position involving standing, bending, working at benches, handling tools and equipment, and lifting or moving MWD equipment and shipping containers.
