Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and energetic Heavy Construction Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy construction equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, loaders, and other industrial machinery. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, brake repair, and hydraulic system servicing to prevent breakdowns. Troubleshoot electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools; repair wiring, sensors, switches, and control modules. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Inspect equipment for safety compliance, perform alignments and suspension adjustments, and verify proper operation of air brakes and HVAC systems. Maintain detailed service records, update maintenance logs, and follow OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications for repairs. Assist with heavy lifting operations during repairs or assembly of large machinery components while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy construction equipment or industrial machinery maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and HVAC systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; ability to read schematics accurately. Familiarity with OEM parts catalogs for Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu or similar brands; knowledge of farm machinery is a plus. Skilled in the use of power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicle maintenance technology. Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently; experience with automotive diagnostics applicable to heavy machinery. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients.
