This contract position offers the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload of 8-10 students, alongside two full-time classroom paraprofessionals and access to a Registered Behavior Technician. You'll have the support and resources needed to foster student growth while creating a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Special Education teaching license with EC-6th content credentials. Background in elementary education and experience working with students with significant cognitive and behavioral challenges. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with paras and RBT support. Ability to implement and adapt instructional strategies for life skills and manage behavioral interventions. Compassionate and patient approach for supporting students with diverse needs.

Core Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small group instruction tailored to each student's IEP goals within a life skills framework. Collaborate daily with paraprofessionals and the RBT to ensure a consistent, therapeutic, and structured classroom atmosphere. Develop and modify lesson plans and behavioral supports according to student progress. Engage and communicate with families and multidisciplinary teams to track and celebrate student growth. Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom where every child can thrive.
