TITLE:

Mechanical Technician

B POSTION OBJECTIVE

This position is responsible for lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair for all equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent

Mechanical aptitude

Good oral and written communication skills

Ability to multi-task

Must be able and willing to work overtime as needed, including on-call availability for nights and weekends as required

Electrical background is a plus, but not required

Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus

Skilled in operating lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine shop equipment is a plus

Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interaction

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace mechanical equipment
  • Perform lubrication and preventative maintenance (PM) on mechanical equipment
  • Assist the Electronic Technician with electrical and electronic duties
  • Perform welding, machining, and millwright duties
  • Assemble and install new mechanical equipment; enter work orders in the maintenance management system; read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Maintain all equipment in good running order; perform route checks and report deficiencies
  • Ensure the job site is clean and free of hazards; follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
