Full-Time Company Overview Integral Flow Equipment (IFE), Wyoming, is a dynamic and growing manufacturer and supplier of high-pressure integral valves, fittings, pipe, and manifold systems serving the oilfield service industry. The Wyoming operation supports the safe, efficient, and reliable delivery of quality products and services to customers. Position Summary Shop Technician 1 is an entry-level position responsible for assisting with general shop, warehouse, equipment handling, shipping and receiving, and housekeeping activities. The successful candidate will be a safety-conscious, hardworking individual who is willing to learn from and assist more experienced Shop Technicians. This position requires good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. The Shop Technician 1 will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to safely perform shop and warehouse activities in accordance with company Safe Operating Procedures and the Quality Management System (QMS). On occasion, this role will operate a company vehicle for deliveries. In order to operate the vehicle, a pre-employment driver's history/abstract must be provided. The requirement is a clear history of no incidents, accidents or tickets within the last 5 years, or more, but not less, to satisfy our insurer's conditions. Key Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: General Shop Support Perform general shop duties and assist experienced Shop Technicians as directed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Clean tools, storage areas, break areas, and other shop facilities as assigned. Empty garbage and maintain general housekeeping standards. Wash equipment and assist with cleaning and maintaining shop vehicles and trucks. Perform seasonal duties such as snow removal and shoveling, as required. Equipment and Material Handling Assist with the movement, loading, unloading, and storage of equipment and materials. Learn basic equipment banding, marking, and identification procedures. Shipping, Receiving and Warehousing Learn and assist with basic shipping and receiving procedures. Assist with identifying, organizing, and properly storing parts and equipment. Mark and maintain warehouse shelving using appropriate part identification stickers, labels, or magnets. Assist with cycle counts and inventory-related activities. Promptly report discrepancies, damaged materials, or inventory concerns to the Branch Manager. Safety and Quality Learn and perform all work in accordance with IFE Safe Operating Procedures, company policies, and the Quality Management System (QMS). Identify potentially dangerous or unsafe conditions and take appropriate action within the scope of the position. Immediately report incidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or other hazards to the Branch Manager. Participate in required safety meetings, training, and orientation programs. Demonstrate a consistent commitment to safe work practices. Required Skills and Qualifications Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. Accuracy and attention to detail demonstrated by low error rates and rigorous quality assurance Safety-conscious with the ability to identify potentially hazardous conditions and act appropriately. Mechanically inclined and interested in developing technical and mechanical skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet assigned deadlines. Ability to undertake assigned projects and follow them through to completion. Ability to work successfully and responsibly in a team environment. Demonstrated professionalism and a positive work attitude. Initiative and willingness to learn and develop new skills. Ability to maintain close communication with the Branch Manager regarding work assignments and promptly report concerns related to equipment, inventory, or safety. Ability and willingness to perform physically demanding shop and warehouse duties. Clean driver's abstract with no incidents or accidents, insurability based upon a 5 year or more, but no less, driving history Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Previous oilfield, farming, manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial experience. Basic mechanical aptitude or hands-on mechanical experience. Experience working with tools, equipment, or material-handling machinery. Previous forklift experience or certification. Experience in the oil and gas industry. Working Conditions Primarily works in a shop, warehouse, and outdoor environment. Regularly performs physical duties, including lifting, carrying, bending, standing, walking, and moving materials. May be exposed to varying weather conditions while performing outdoor duties. Must wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). May be required to work around industrial equipment, vehicles, forklifts, and oilfield-related products.
