A day in your boots You start by reviewing the install plan, loading a well-organized vehicle, and rallying your crew. On site, you're the point person—meeting the homeowner, setting expectations, and ensuring every task is executed precisely. You coach Install Helpers in real time, demonstrate best practices on copper/PVC piping, and verify high- and low-voltage wiring. Throughout the day, you uphold safety, elevate quality, and keep the jobsite tidy—no detail overlooked. Before you leave, you verify the system is operating to standard, answer questions, and make sure the customer is confident and satisfied. What you'll take ownership of Oversee precise installation, upgrades, and replacements of residential HVAC systems. Cut, thread, and connect copper or PVC piping; complete high- and low-voltage wiring to code. Mentor and train Install Helpers on site and in the shop to build skills and confidence. Communicate clearly with homeowners and deliver an exceptional customer experience. Lift, bend, carry, and move materials and equipment in excess of 50 lbs as needed. Maintain tools, parts, and your vehicle in clean, organized, ready-to-roll condition. Work safely at heights and in tight spaces (like attics) through heat, cold, and changing weather. Adhere to appliance standards, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and company service standards. Pitch in with additional duties as assigned. What you bring 2-5+ years of experience leading residential HVAC installations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Current EPA certification. Advanced troubleshooting ability and strong critical-thinking skills. Proactive, enthusiastic mindset with a commitment to top-tier workmanship. Customer-first approach and the ability to resolve concerns professionally. Professional presence and communication with team members at all levels. Adaptable, collaborative, and energized by dynamic work environments. Physical demands Lift 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs on occasion. Climb ladders; access attics and crawlspaces; navigate tight areas; drive; push, carry, and pull; use hand tools; perform fine detail work. Operate a vehicle safely. Work indoors and outdoors, including attics and crawlspaces. Stand, walk, sit; talk and hear in person and via telephone. Use hands to handle/feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Regularly stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch. Regular exposure to extreme temperatures and adverse weather such as wind, rain, ice, or snow.
