Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated HVAC Installation Technician with experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of HVAC equipment across various residential, commercial and industrial settings. Duties Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, mini-splits and building automation controls. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose issues accurately. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults within electrical systems. Repair or replace mechanical components including motors, compressors, valves, pumps, and piping; perform welding and equipment repair as needed. Diagnose complex issues related to HVAC/R systems and develop effective solutions for system repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports; communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommended actions. Assist in the installation of HVAC system components while adhering to safety protocols; support building automation system integration. Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment for mechanical systems repair; demonstrate mechanical knowledge in troubleshooting diverse property maintenance challenges. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations for refrigerant handling; manage refrigerant recovery and recharging procedures safely. Support field service operations by driving company vehicles safely to various job sites; maintain vehicle cleanliness and functionality. Qualifications Proven experience as an HVAC Installation Technician with a strong background in construction, service operations, or property maintenance. Knowledge of HVAC design principles, schematics interpretation, electrical systems diagnostics, refrigeration cycles, and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience with HVAC/R equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across commercial or industrial environments. Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS), electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and plumbing systems related to HVAC setups. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in boiler operation, ammonia refrigeration (a plus), welding skills. Ability to read technical schematics accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex system repairs or installations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients; proactive in providing solutions that meet customer needs. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling. Valid Drivers Licenses with acceptable driving record .
