Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you will be at the forefront of maintaining and enhancing the comfort and safety of commercial and residential environments. Duties Perform installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, boilers, and building automation systems. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to identify faults within electrical systems. Repair mechanical components by utilizing hand tools and mechanical knowledge to restore system functionality efficiently. Ensure compliance with EPA regulations by handling refrigerants responsibly during system servicing or replacement. Collaborate with clients to provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs, maintenance needs, and system operations clearly. Maintain detailed documentation of all service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system conditions for record-keeping and future reference. Requirements Proven experience as an HVAC service technician with a solid understanding of HVAC system repair and installation processes. Construction experience or background in mechanical systems repair is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, electrical systems, and building automation controls. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience working with hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance tasks. Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) are preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; familiarity with drivers is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills combined with effective communication abilities to interact professionally with clients.
