Job Title:
Assistant Service Manager /
Lead Technical Specialist Position Type:
Full-Time (Includes seasonal extended hours & rotating weekend on-call)

Minimum 10 years in HVAC service and diagnostics Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled, veteran HVAC Professional to join our team as an Assistant Service Manager. This dual-role position requires a technical expert who can balance leadership duties with hands-on field support. You will manage incoming service calls, handle customer escalations, and serve as the primary technical helpline for our field technicians—troubleshooting complex issues both over the phone and in person on the job site.
Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership:
Guide field technicians through advanced troubleshooting via phone or in-person site visits.
Service Call Management:
Field incoming customer calls, diagnose issues remotely when possible, and dispatch effectively.
Advanced Troubleshooting:
Resolve complex system failures, focusing heavily on modern, high-efficiency equipment.
Peak Season Availability:
Work extended hours during high-demand summer months to ensure customer satisfaction.
On-Call Rotation:
Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule to handle emergency service requests.
Required Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on HVAC service, maintenance, and diagnostic experience.
Technical Expertise:
Deep, verifiable knowledge of communicating systems, inverter-driven systems, and mini-split technology.
Tools:
Must possess a complete set of personal, professional-grade HVAC hand tools and diagnostic equipment (specialty gauges, meters, etc.).
Communication:
Exceptional verbal communication skills for coaching technicians and explaining technical issues to customers.
Leadership:
Proven ability to mentor junior technicians and maintain composure under high-pressure seasonal demands.
Credentials:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; EPA Universal Certification required. What We Offer Competitive salary/hourly wage based on your deep industry experience. Pay:
$31.22 - $37.59 per hour
