Position Overview As a Lead Technician, you will be the hands-on field leader responsible for running residential installation, diagnostic repair, and deep-cleaning jobs. You will supervise apprentices, manage job site workflow for maximum efficiency, and ensure every system meets factory and company specs.

Key Responsibilities Lead Field Operations:

Execute clean, precise, and fast ductless mini-split installations (wall mounts, ceiling cassettes, multi-zone systems).

System Diagnostics & Repair:

Troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant leaks, communication errors, and mechanical issues on major mini-split brands (e.g., Mitsubishi, Daikin, Fujitsu, Gree, AC PRO).

Quality & Safety Assurance:

Ensure line sets, electrical connections, nitrogen purges, vacuums (< 500 microns), and condensate drainage meet strict company standards.

Mentorship:

Train and guide apprentices/junior technicians on proper hand tools, safety practices, and efficient install techniques.

Customer Communication:

Walk homeowners through completed work, demonstrate remote/app controls, and answer questions with a professional, customer-first attitude.

Job Site Management:

Maintain a clean work area, keep company vehicles stocked and organized, and complete digital job paperwork accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

3+ years of HVAC experience, with a heavy emphasis on residential ductless mini-split systems.

Certifications:

Active EPA Universal Certification required. EPA 608 required. NATE certification or manufacturer training (e.g., Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor) is a big plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in flared connections, line-set routing, electrical wiring, brazing, vacuum testing, and heat pump diagnostics.

Leadership:

Strong communication skills and a proven ability to lead 1-2 crew members on job sites.

Licensing:

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (must pass a background check).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, work on ladders, in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor weather conditions.

Pay:

$29.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 29.0 - 40.0 per week
