High School Diploma or GED. Four (4) years of recent and verifiable experience working with heating, air conditioning and ventilation.

Preferred Qualifications:

HVAC Repair and Maintenance Certification. EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Program Universal Certificates.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintains and repairs HVAC and refrigeration equipment. Maintains and repairs hydronic systems and electrical controls and equipment. Works on high and low voltage power. Maintains, repairs and operates energy management system. Operates and maintains digital controls and pneumatic controls. Coordinates work with other departments and sub-contractors. Maintains inventory of supplies and parts and requests additional items as necessary per job project. Drives College vehicles and operates golf carts and light trucks to retrieve/return supplies, equipment, tools, etc. Attends staff meetings to exchange information. Attends professional seminars and conferences to improve professional skills and maintain required licenses/certifications. Gathers, verifies, and maintains information to support periodic and special reports documenting activities and events for assigned area. Other duties and special projects as assigned and directed by the President or their designee.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Must be able to relate and work with faculty and students individually and in groups. Must have knowledge and experience working on various HVAC equipment; knowledge of Energy Management Systems; ability to perform work involving set procedures. Must be able to exercise good judgement and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work in a multi-task environment maintaining positive customer relations. Must supervise students in a lab environment. Must maintain, repair and handle tools and tools supplies, as well a demonstrate tool functions and safety procedures for students. Ability to use a computer, and understand communications, instructions, regulation and procedures.
