Full-time Summary:

The HVAC Refrigeration Technician is responsible for maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The technician ensures that HVACR systems are functioning optimally, efficiently, and safely, providing comfortable indoor environments and preserving food products at Hard Rock Stadium.

Miami Gardens, FL Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

Perform regular preventive maintenance on HVACR systems to ensure optimal performance Inspect and test system components, including electrical connections, motors, and compressors

Repair:

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVACR systems Repair or replace defective components, such as thermostats, compressors, and fan motors Perform emergency repairs when necessary

System Upgrades:

Recommend and implement system upgrades to improve energy efficiency and performance Stay updated on the latest HVACR technologies and advancements

Documentation and Compliance:

Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations Complete work orders and service reports

Customer Service:

Communicate effectively with stadium departments to explain system issues and recommended solutions Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and courteous service

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an HVAC training program or apprenticeship

Certifications:

EPA Section 608 Certification (required). Additional certifications (NATE, HVAC Excellence) are a plus

Experience:

5+ years of experience in HVAC/refrigeration, maintenance, and repair

Skills:

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems as they relate to HVACR Ability to use diagnostic tools and hand tools effectively Excellent customer service and communication skills Physical ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, standing, and working in confined spaces Work is performed in various settings at the stadium - concession stands, kitchens, chillers, and stadium AHU's. May require working in extreme temperatures and confined spaces. Use of protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory
